see for yourself, then bring your students.
The best way to learn about a destination is to visit it IRL. While our team will always provide lots of information and resources, there's nothing like getting those boots on the ground and getting a feel for what it will be like to bring a group. We can arrange customized, individual site inspections at any time; we also organize small group Familiarization (FAM) Trips throughout the year. Here's what we have on offer in 2026.
Note: Inquire about these FAMS through form at the bottom of this page
Copenhagen // august 2026
Perhaps one of the best examples of urban sustainability, Copenhagen is a model for green living in Europe. This 5-day FAM will explore how Copenhagen-dwellers thoughtfully design their buildings, green spaces, food systems, and public areas with the future in mind. Visits include Tivoli Gardens, Copenhill Summit, urban and rooftop farms and sustainable restaurants, and participants will ride bikes, kayaks, hike, and walk. A lot! Estimated $2,570 land cost per person.
Turkey // October 2026
This 7-day FAM begins in Istanbul and has a strong sustainability focus. Participants will visit zero-waste municipal initiatives, local markets, sustainability offices, wind farms, historic villages, tour a geothermal plant, meet with a women's cooperative, discuss sustainable tourism at the site of ancient Ephesus, and visit the gorgeous, coastal Dilek Peninsula & National Park, departing out of Izmir. Estimated $1,010 per person with potential flight credit.
Panama // December 2026
Often overlooked to Costa Rica, Panama is a short flight away and offers both urban and natural experiences applicable to a variety of subjects. In this 6-day FAM, we'll visit Barro Colorado Island and observe the work being done at the Smithsonian Research Institute; spend a day in an indigenous Embera village, joining the community for lunch; explore El Valle de Anton through hiking, bathing in hot springs, visiting a butterfly nursery and local market; and of course, visit the Panama Canal and learn about its impact on the social, financial, and natural worlds of Panama. Estimated $2,970 land cost per person.
