Customized. Responsible. Affordable. Community. And Virtual.

AEA recognizes the tremendous strain that the Corona Virus has caused and is continuing to cause among study abroad offices, students and faculty, who have had their programs canceled. AEA is no exception. And it certainly hurts. However, we are focused on solutions, such as Customized Virtual Experiences, Meetings, Speakers and Internships for anyone who would like to repurpose their study abroad program, develop a new program, or add to their existing course, virtually. We are also ready to develop your customized, faculty-led programs and book group flights.

Celebrating 15 years in 2020, AEA is proudly family-owned. We combine friendly, professional, detailed program development with knowledgeable, experienced and flexible local teams in nearly 100 countries, including the US and Canada. We look forward to welcoming you to our tight-knit community – in person, or virtually.

Virtual Internships

Virtual Internships from $500

A Virtual Internship is an opportunity for you (or your group) to gain professional experience, learn new skills, and build your resume from home. Connect virtually via video calls and the cloud with your host organization to work remotely on meaningful projects; join a cohort of other virtual interns to create community around the work you’re doing; and receive professional development support from AEA throughout your internship.

Learn responsibly

What is “responsible learning” and why does it matter? We pride ourselves on working with local teams who are intertwined with the communities where we work, giving our groups valuable, community-led experiences, whether traveling physically, or virtually.

Read Testimonials

AEA was very knowledgeable about Cambodia and provided excellent advice as we planned a program to a new destination I had never visited. Our logistical arrangements were excellent, and our group was very pleased with the hotels and guide services provided through AEA. AEA was also very flexible with our continuously changing itinerary, allowing us to develop a program that was dynamic and responsive to group needs, while offering access to individuals whom we would not have been able to connect with ourselves. We are happy to recommend AEA to anyone planning a study abroad program.
