Virtual Internship Overview

Dates: June 1 – August 14, 2020

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 15-20 Hours/Week (Daily Schedule TBD)

Internship Title: Outreach & Development Intern

Intern reports to: Development Director

This position is hosted by the outreach and administrative arm of an independent arts organization that engages local musicians and artists with performance and gallery space.

The intern will assist with grant opportunity research and planning; broadening and enriching community outreach strategies; tracking project submissions to the studio; maintaining a budget tracker; and other general business operations.

Intern Responsibilities

Tasks:

  • Research grant opportunities
  • Develop timeline of grant due dates throughout the 20-21 fiscal year
  • Help to develop community outreach to artists and organizations
  • Assist with marketing outreach to community

Skills:

  • Detail orientated
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Background in the arts a plus
  • Interest in learning more about the music industry

Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in a college degree program, majoring in a relevant field
  • Maintain at least a 3.0 GPA (preferred)
  • Access to computer and regular phone/internet
  • English proficiency
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Interest in nonprofit work
  • Team player
