Virtual Internship Overview

Dates: June 1 – August 14, 2020

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 15-20 Hours/Week (Daily Schedule TBD)

Internship Title: Research Intern

Intern reports to: Director

This internship is hosted by a Cambodian youth empowerment organization that works to protect children from abuse and exploitation and to strengthen community resilience, sustainability and independence.

This position will work with compiling and creating organizational reports, and will culminate in the preparation of the organization’s Annual Report.

Intern Responsibilities


  • Compile and review existing documentation to synthesize metrics
  • Assist with drafting and editing of reporting materials
  • Contribute to the creation of an Annual Report


  • Excellent oral communication and writing skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Background knowledge in social work + child advocacy a plus


  • Enrollment in a college degree program, majoring in a relevant field
  • Maintain at least a 3.0 GPA (preferred)
  • Access to computer and regular phone/internet
  • English proficiency
  • Ability to work well independently
