Academic Experiences Abroad has been creating and managing customized, faculty-led programs since 2005. We began in Asia and gradually expanded services to offer customized, international business programs traveling to Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, Oceania, and Europe. Our business and our ethos are both based on working together with the people and the communities where we operate to develop mutually beneficial connections and solutions.
No two programs are alike – we design your program specifically for you, your group, and your course of study.
In addition to hotels, guides, transport, flights, meals and excursions, AEA also arranges corporate and local business visits, corporate social responsibility projects (CSR), and unique opportunities that make your program stand out. Although not all groups ask for a CSR component, we have seen that such experiences are often the most powerful and memorable of any program, and we always suggest giving it a chance.
Technology – Engineering – Global Supply Chain – Development – Manufacturing
Entrepreneurship – Sustainability – NGOs – Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) – Microfinance
Banking – Agriculture – Healthcare – Government – Aerospace – Marketing – Communication
WHAT OUR CLIENTS HAVE TO SAY
The planning was meticulous and the visits were fantastic. We had a great range of visits that were really related to my academic area of focus… [AEA is] very adaptive to specialized needs and the philosophy of the program. It makes it very great to work with faculty and your operation on the ground is very strong in terms of guides and their willingness to learn. [We] really loved the guides — they were excellent, flexible, worked well with the group dynamics… an all-time high in terms of my own experiences over the years.
Michael Chattalas, Professor, College of Business & Public Management, Kean University
Our program to Brazil was fantastic! AEA anticipated our every need, and the site visits were among the best I’ve ever experienced. We normally would rotate countries every 3-4 years, but that just seems too long for Brazil. I have traveled with AEA to Vietnam, Taiwan, China, and now Brazil. Highly recommended for their services and care!”
Michael Troilo, Asst. Professor of International Business, University of Tulsa
[AEA] put together a wonderful program for the College of Business at the University of North Texas [to Hong Kong + China]… Our capstone courses were enhanced with the variety and quality of the business visits, cultural immersion, and tours of natural treasures. [AEA] was most accommodating of last minute program changes and arranging impromptu meetings. The hotels, food and transportation arrangements were excellent… Our tour guides were familiar with the cities, bi-lingual and handled delicate matters with tact and efficiency. Overall, well done!
Michael Sexton, Professor of Business, University of North Texas
[AEA] did a magnificent job! Definitely will work with you again! It all went perfectly, absolutely perfect. It was the best run trip with students I’ve ever been on. Kudos to you and the team — we worked really well together. I’ll never work with anyone other than you guys. And the weather was perfect!
Bruce Rosenthal, Professor of Business, Alfred University
We had the opportunity to help a family out [in Guatemala], who is having some water and drainage issues. We were able to go there and clean up the area… start laying concrete to help get the water into the drain more efficiently. It was an amazing experience. We got to help a family out and see how a typical family lives here. It was really, really touching… We were the first [MBA] program that actually did a service [component]. It’s something that we’re going to take back to the school and hopefully continue in the future.
